Bush is stealing our lines

Did anyone else hear him say that investing in clean energy will bring us new jobs in tonight’s SOTU?”To keep our economy growing, we also need reliable supplies of affordable, environmentally responsible energy.” [few sentences on clear skies, clean coal, hydrogen…] “All these proposals are essential to expand this economy and add new jobs”Huh. It hurts to agree with anything that this president says, but I’m somehow happy to oblige in this case, provided that his talking points on this concept don’t change. We can argue over implementation (ie. ethanol vs. nuclear vs. clean coal, etc.), but we also might learn something from his rhetoric here in the meantime… The Bush/Rove team knows how to sell ideas to the American people, regardless of the idea’s veracity. In this case, it’s actually true — clean energy does create jobs!
